There are BIG changes in the requirements to report OSHA injuries. Namely:- For calendar year 2016, employers with over 250 employees (and 20 or more employees in certain high-risk industries) will be required to electronically submit their OSHA 300A Summary form to OSHA
- Starting with calendar year 2017, employers will be required to submit ALL of their injury recordkeeping forms (300 Log, 300A Summary, and 301 Investigation Report) to OSHA
- There also is a new rule containing specific instructions on how your workplace injury reporting procedures must be written
It is critical that employers understand these new requirements, as much of this injury information submitted to OSHA will be made available to the public on the OSHA website. Learning Objectives
This training session covers the new OSHA recordkeeping requirements listed above.
It provides participants with the tools, skills, and knowledge to make the correct recordkeeping and reporting decisions, and is particularly important in light of the new regulations on electronic reporting of injury forms to OSHA rather than just keeping this information internal to your organization. - The latest recordkeeping interpretations from OSHA
- How to avoid the #1 OSHA recordkeeping violation
- Definitions of first aid, medical treatment, and work relationship
- Dealing with injuries of independent contractors & temporary workers

About Webcasts / Audio Conferences / Podcasts: | Webcasts, audio conferences, and podcasts are presentations that you
attend via the Internet, phone, or mobile device at a specified date and time for "live" versions, or at your convenience for "recorded" and "On-Demand" versions. The live
versions are interactive, meaning that participants can ask questions in real time, plus are a very cost-effective form of training because 1) you receive fast, convenient learning without
any out-of-office time; 2) you can invite as many colleagues as you'd like to listen in on a single phone line; 3) you incur no travel expenses; and 4) you and your colleagues are back
at work immediately after the session ends! And though with recorded versions you do lose the ability to ask questions, you gain the ability to hear the presentation numerous
times and to share it with others in your office. Handout materials and the phone number for live presentations are made available to you prior to the event via email from the
presenter and from the "MyAccount" link on the menu bar. Copies of the presentations are included with recorded versions. |
